A Ashley is a Black writer from South Florida currently working on her MFA at the University of Central Florida.
She primarily writes literary fiction and non-fiction that explore the minority and queer experience. Among these works are essays concerning the effects of emotional abuse, alienation, and invisible physical and mental illness.
A Ashley's current focus is her thesis project, a cross-genre exploration of the experiences of women under the current political administration, and how their identities and beliefs alternatively alternative to and save them from physical and emotional pain.
